If one child is saved...
...a million may die.

Gun control as an aspect of intellectual freedom
Gwen Eastmond

The issue of gun control is not, on its surface, an issue of intellectual freedom to most people. It is an issue of disarming criminals. It is an issue of making streets safe. It is an issue of saving children's lives. But to gun-rights advocates, the second amendment is the very core of intellectual freedom.

Included in this paper are many things related to this argument. It explores the arguments of the gun-rights faction, both in general and with regards to some proposed laws. It discusses statistics, distortion, and commonly quoted statistical sources. And, because it is one of the rarest of things to find on the net, this paper contains a brief list of links to arguments and organizations on both sides of the issue.
