Book of the Month

A History of Israel

Volume I by Theodore H. Robinson and Volume II by W.O.E. Oesterley

Volume I covers from The Exodus to The Fall of Jerusalem, 586 B.C. and includes chapters entitled Israel's Heritage, The Birth and Growth of the Nation, The Israelite Monarchy, and The Israelite Monarchs. Volume II is From the Fall of Jerusalem, 586 B.C. to the Bar-Kokhba Revolt, A.D. 135 and includes chapters entitled The Period of the Exile, The Period of Restoration, The Period of Nehemiah and Ezra, The Greek Period, The Maccabaean Period, and The Roman Period. Both volumes are in very good condition, with some fraying along the edges. Both were residents of the Library of the University of the South and have pouches as well as other library markings. The color is very bright and the hinges are very strong. These books appear mostly unread but there is underscoring in the chapter The Israelite Monarchy in Volume I. These books are 1951 reprints by Clarendon Press, Oxford. $50.00, postage paid
