Jylland's Crew
Jylland's Crew This photograph, taken on the foredeck sometime around 1979, shows some of the Jylland's crew. From left: Bob Curry; Jackie; Dave Marchant; Anita (Bowman) Hamber; Tony Heath; Helen (De Grooth) Curry; Geoff Terry; and David Hamber. During the period between 1976 and mid-1980, the crew's make-up fluctuated - with new folk joining occasionally and leaving occasionally, and some of the old timers leaving and returning as their personal lifes and schedules dictated. At times Jylland operated with a skeleton crew and at other times she seemed to have a rather full, but merry contingent aboard.
Jylland's Crew

This photo was taken during a day sail aboard the Jylland in the Bahamas in 1976. The Jylland was temporarily calling Paradise Island, Bahamas (across the channel from Nassau) home while attempting to get a license to operate and work the tourist trade there - a license that was never issued. Here, Howard, one of the owners, and Bill, the skipper, were taking a break so that I could photograph them . . .
