JD's Undead Home Page
Starting an Undead Army Starting an Undead Army is kind of easy if you know what your doing. The first thing I suggest is to buy two boxes of Skelintons. From here you can participate in battles and learn the bacic rules. Some armies you can just jump into but for the Undead I suggest that the second thing you do is buy your book. The book will show you the special Undead rules that you might miss regularaly.

The second thing you will want to do is buy the Magic set. The Magic set is what every Undead player needs because the basis of the Undead is bassed on magic. After you have purchased the Magic set then you will want to expand into buying some Litches, or perhaps even some Zombies. But either is of your choice and should be researched before buying.

Now the Undead Army is an odd army to collect, because of the characters. I suggest one of the first models to buy would be a Necromancer because you need them to raise the Dead. Don't go ahead and buy Naggash off the bat, a Litch Master will suffice and probbably be fine for small 1000 point battles.

Now I have shown you the bacics that you will need but I neglected to mention one last thing is the Regiment rule. When the general dies in a battle the Regiment that it belongs to all dies. This rule is important because in selection of your general you will need to find one that is extreamly good and will work for your core Regiments.
The Undead have no exact Tactics because they are an odd army, but I warn you just because they have cool looking models and great large weaponry does not mean that they are the greatest, but do not take my words totaly seriously, the Undead Army is good, and I have played in in the past years as one of my strongest.

Here bellow are some of the characters that you might be interested in buying. All of these characters are available through Games Workshop, or at your local hobby shop.

Skellintons are the bacic of the troops. They have no armour save but has the reation to cause fear. This is expecialy great for taking out those pesky High Elves. Also the Skellitons should make up a large portion of your army.

Skelliton Charriots are great in battle because they can move quite easy and have a nice attack. They are cheap and are available in a boxed set like the Skellitons above.

Carrions are Undead Birds that fly over top of an army and peg off certain things. They are best used to attack war mecheines and should allways be used for that purpose. They will also be good at picking off special characters.

The last character is Naggash. He is like the King of the Undead and should be onew of your choices as a model when you reach 1500 points. He carries awesome items and can cast some kick ass magic. I would suggest him to anyone that needs some extra help defeating that pesky armythat you relly hate.

Well thats is for this weeks installment please check back here for more.
