"For a long time now, I have had a fascination and love for Ireland. The people...so warm and friendly, the beauty of the countryside which only could be found in Ireland. The traditions and history which would take a lifetime to explore, and the music...so haunting, it touches the very soul with it's beauty. This is the Ireland I know and love.
That is what has inspired me to do this page. Although it is my first attempt at creating one, it has become a labor of love which has brought me much joy, and will continue to, as I work to continuously update this page and add new features for you to enjoy." ~~~kell
The Book Of Kells is one of the most lavishly decorated gospel manuscripts to be produced between the seventh and ninth centuries. At this time Irish art and culture was flourishing both at home and in centres of Irish missionary activities overseas. The decorative theme of the manuscript reflects Christ's life. There are recurring images of his birth, his sacrifice, and his resurrection.
During the last Century, The Book Of Kells has remained an inspiring symbol of Irish nationality and creativity.
