Cead Mille Failte

Being an American, born and bred in Baltimore, Maryland, my 7/8 Irishness is probably more romantic and mystical than that of my dad's father: Hayes from Waterford and mother: Welby from Galway and my mom's more distant relatives who were probably from Sligo and Monahan. Betwixt the melancholy and the mirth, I decided to name my daughters Shannon and Tara, for reasons that I am not entirely sure of, though perhaps a further connection to the land of Patrick & Brigid and Grania & Brian might not hurt at all, at all!
And don't you know, the wee dragon won't be hurting ye, at least as long as the guestbook be signed?
