In the months since then, it has taken on a life of its own, and keeping it current, updated and constantly expanding has become a labor of love. Money Matters:
The unit of currency in Ireland is the "punt" (IEP), which is worth 30-40% more than the U.S. dollar (USD). To determine the exact exchange rate for today, use the Currency Conversion Table, the Universal Currency Converter or the Ireland OnLine Currency Converter. There is also information on the euro (European common currency), which will come into circulation in Ireland and many other European countries in 2002.
