"THE WHAT'S AND HOW'S TO MONEY GRAM"

MONEY GRAM is very similar to Western Union in the sense of going to an outlet of your choice and "wiring funds over to another person."  Its cheaper and works just like W.U. .  The only difference is that it cheaper.

Follow these easy steps

1) Pick up your phone and call 1-800-moneygram - give them the zip code the neigbhorhood that is convenient for you to do the wire.
2) Copy down the locations and store hours.  It is advisable that you CALL instead of using the website. Rumour has it that the website isnt
as updated as the phone listings.
3) You did the step 1 & 2 and you are now at the store of your choice

AT THE STORE

GET THE RED SLIP "TO SEND" as indicated by the picture below. 

PLEASE NOTE - DO NOT USE WESTERN UNION - MONEY GRAM ONLY - AGAIN - NO WESTERN UNION -  - W.U. IS MORE EXPENSIVE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO CASH.  YOUR SLIP SHOULD THAT YOU WILL BE USING SHOULD LOOK
LIKE THE ABOVE PICTURE - RED COLORED AND "TO SEND"

A - FILL THE COUNTRY AND CITY/ STATE:  EX:  USA - NY/NY
B   FILL THE AMOUNT YOU ARE SENDING - IN OUR CASE ITS $60
C   FILL THE SENDERS NAME - EX:  Joe Schmoe
     YOU MAY USE YOUR REAL NAME
     OR MAKE ONE UP (just not Joe Schmoe :) ) HOWEVER, SHOULD THERE BE A CHALLENGE IN CASHING
     THAT MAY IMPOSE ON YOU GETTING A REFUND, YOU MAY NEED TO SHOW ID
     THIS IS RARE - BUT ITS ADVISABLE  TO KEEP THIS IN MIND. - SO FAR - KNOCK
      ON WOOD - THIS HASNT BEEN AN ISSUE WITH ANYONE.
D SENDERS NAME - I WILL GIVE THIS TO YOU OVER EMAIL OR ON THE PHONE 
E  Sign and date
F  TEST QUESTION TEST ANSWER
This is a very important part -the most important actually!  This is the equivalent to a "password" you assign
ex:  Test question "Whats my dogs name?" Test Answer - "Dont own one."  
whatever - All that matters is that you assign it one. 
G THE REFERENCE NUMBER - THE CASHIER WILL ASSIGN IT ONE. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR COPY OF YOUR SLIP - DO NOT LOOSE YOUR COPY

BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE - TELL THE CASHIER IN YOUR OWN WORDS (IMPROVISE)
"My friend had a hart time cashing it last time because the cashier forgot to input the test q.& a., please make
sure its on there - thanks :)"  Whatever words/action you use - your call - all I care is that the cashier (usually a
student working for minimum wage typing with one hand isnt a guru) so be in control!

YOUR DONE!!!!  AND ON THE WAY HOME TO SEND ME AN EMAIL

IN THE EMAIL BE SURE TO INCLUDE

* C  - The name you used to take out the money gram
* F -  The test Q.&A
* G  - The reference number assigned by the cashier
* THE LOCATION - Ex: 93rd and Amsterdam rite aid - This is only because Money gram doesnt allow the sender (you) and receiver (me) to use the same store - dont know why - but this once happened in LA.  So just so I save time and a token/car ride, pls make it organized.
