Synopsis:

The 2003 Lifeguard Competition was held on June 11th and 12th at Hitchcock pool in Omaha Nebraska. All together it was a successful event. 18 of the 19 city of Omaha pool participated. This past year only city of Omaha pools participated, that way we could test the event out and see how it went. We hope that in years to come, the event will branch out and become a statewide event.

About us:

Chuck Williams was the Competition Director. Chuck is an area supervisor for the city of Omaha. He is very knowledgeable and knows a lot about life guarding. Andrew O'Grady was the Competition Supervisor. I assisted Chuck in any way possible. This is part of a school project that is required at the school I attend.

How to navigate:

Please feel free to look at any of the information. On the right hand column, there are many other pages to go look at the event and see what went on. The steps that were taken tell about the planning and how Chuck and I got the event to be a success. There are also pages to tell about the events that we had, and what the lifeguards were required to do. At the bottom, there is links to other pages. The first link is to the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department. If you would like to learn more about the City of Omaha Pools, this is the official site. The other link is to pictures from the day of the event.
