I'm 15 years old and my birthday's on the 9th August. I'm a Christian and go to Glendale Church on Sundays. I go to St Bartholomew's school in England. On Monday's and Thursday's I go to the Air Training Corps. I fly in Bulldogs (left) and Vigilants which are powered gliders. I have done 5 hours flying and are hoping to train for the RAF as a fighter pilot. I also go shooting and am fully trained on the L98 rifle and the no.8 rifle. I have recently obtained my marksman. I also do the Combined Cadet Force which is very similar to the ATC, and I help train others how to use rifles. I like to play hockey, cricket and football at school and am in the first team for cricket. I work at Woolworths on Saturdays and earn a reasonable amount each month. I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and lived there for a mere 2 weeks before travelling down by car to Durban on the east coast of South Africa. I lived there for a short time before travelling down to Cape Town which is on the southern most tip of Africa. I lived there for 12 years in a village called Edgemead. When I was 7 I started Edgemead primary School which was great. The system is very different from England. The school year would begin in January and end in December. Years were called standards (Yr1 would be SubA, Yr2 would be SubB and then Yrs3-7 would be standards 1-5). At the end of each school year around November, there would be a standard camp for 2 or 3 days which were brilliant. You will have to e-mail me to find out more on them if you want to. I played 'soccer' for Edgemead Football Club' and have got quite a few medals and certificates. I also played hockey but that was for school. I was in the first team. I played cricket at school but was unfortunately in the 'C' team. I loved going to the beach on really hot days with my friends as we used to have such fun. The sand was white, and the sea, a lovelly blue shade. South Africa is definately very beautiful and is top in surfing. Hey how about sending a greeting card to a friend (or me,not!).
