The Carroll High School Class of 1991
10 Year Reunion was a two day event.
Friday, May 11, 2001, there was an Alumni Night at Ozona Bar & Grill in Dallas.
On the morning of Saturday, May 12, 2001, there was a picnic at Johnson Elementary catered by Bartley's BBQ followed by a school bus ride to the high school for a tour. The building had been partially renovated and a few interesting changes were; a new cafeteria with an elevated stage, the old cafeteria and courtyard were enclosed to make more classrooms, and a new corridor was added off the old "Senior Hall."
On the evening of Saturday, May 12, 2001, there was a semiformal dinner held in the "Grapevine Room" on the top floor of the new Stacy Home Furnishing complex in Grapevine.
The evening began with cocktails from the full service cash bar and mingling, followed by a slide show of high school pictures composed with music from the late 80's & early 90's. Dinner was then served. The event was catered buffet style by Wilhoite's and featured beef, chicken, pasta and potato dishes as well as caesar salad and dessert bar.
Dinner was followed by an awards presentation, emceed by Class President Mike McEwan, based on votes that took place during dinner. Some winners were; Camille DeSoto Austin for "Most Children" (2), Mike McEwan for "Having Changed the Least," Matt Atkinson for "Having Changed the Most," and Scott Huebner for "Most Likely to be a Millionaire at the Next Reunion."
The evening came to a close with mingling, music by the DJ, and a viewing of the partially damaged video tape recovered from the time capsule buried in front of the high school by Shelley Cook's Senior English class. We are trying to fully restore it for the next reunion.
All comments regarding the events hosted by the Reunion Committee were positive, indicating a successful and enjoyable event! We look forward to planning our next reunion and hope to see more of our classmates!
