I created this page to provide some basic information about me. Send me email, if you'd like to know more than you see here!

To the right is a picture of me during a trip to Arizona.

I was born on April 30, 1960. I'm 5' 7" (I think that's about 170 cm), and I have brown hair and green eyes. My interests include languages, books, music, religion, politics, travel and geography. I can chat you up in English, German, or Spanish. I can also read French, Portuguese, and even a little Hungarian.

To the left is another picture of me in Arizona. Below is the current time & temperature in San Juan:

I've lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico, since December 1998. Before that, I lived for two years in Santafé de Bogotá, which is the capital of Colombia. Other than that, I've spent my whole life in the USA, except for about six months working at a winery in Germany while I was in college.

To the right is a map of my current home territory (the Caribbean Sea): Puerto Rico is the island in the center of the image, due south of the ship's flag, the fish's tailfins, and the A in Atlantic.

To the left is a picture of my best friend on earth, a Boston Terrier named Omar Meese. He looks pretty contrite in this picture, doesn't he? Who knows what he'd done to feel so guilty. (He'd probably just finished chewing a button off something.)

To the right is another picture of Omar Meese, looking a little more spirited this time (ready for a walk, no doubt). He was born on October 28, 1998, and weighs in at about 11 lbs. 8 oz.
