Welcome to our nest. For those of you on your first visit to our nest a brief history of the Peacock Club. Formed many years ago in the now infamous 'Three Horse shoes' Pub by a clutch of likeminded gentlemen who liked nothing better than to strut the town, showing off their plumage. Our Main aim is to promote the world wide 'peg challenge' to all corners of the Globe.

Peacocks on Tour:Ireland 98. Once again the time had come for the Peacock Club to spread its wings in the direction of the Emerald Isle. All started well with a slap up breakfast at St Julians Rugby Club. Unfortunately 2 members of St Julians took the meaning of 'slap up' the wrong way and decided to have a fight on the coach. Unfortunately this was not our only problem. Nicky 'Bud Bottle Peacock had left his shoes back in Cardiff and was facing the prospect of not being able to enter any drinking establishments due to the incorrect footware. Fortunately this problen was soon solved by 'Gonzo' Peacock who, always with an eye for a bargain, found a sparkling pair of shoes in 'Punt Stretcher for the remarkable price of 1`punt. Bud peacock now looked respendent in his new shoes and was all ready for a night on the town ready to impress the fillies with his new shoes. Unfortunately his assault was delayed by being unable to unlock the child cap on the bottle of listerine!! Fortunately the Peacocks soon had the problem solved and we were off. Fortunately things began to look up for Nicky peacock when he managed to cop on to a young filly who was overwhelmed by his new shoes. All was going splendidly for the young peacock when fate dealt him a fatal blow. While escorting the young lass home she was unfortunate enough to be touched by the 'Hand of Hawke'. The young lady foolisly accepted a piggy back from Adrian (Sustitute for Dave Peacock). While precariously balancing the lady on his shoulders Gravity and Guiness combined to result in the young lass hitting the pavement with her head!! Hey presto instant black eye. Fortunatley Tony realised the Garda were accross the road and hurridly hailed a taxi - for him Gareth and Simon Peacocks to escape the scene of devastation, while Adrian attempted to administer first aid with a can of coke!! Match day soon arrived and we flew in the direction of Dublin. The match was watched in our old favorite pub the Oliver St John Gogherty in the Temple bar district. The time waiting for the match was passed with the infamous peg game. Enabling swift introductions with total strangers. This years pegging was of a particularly high standard, culminating with Captain of our ship being the proud owner of a Peacock Peg. All in all another Highly successful Trip. Stand By for the next big event when we return to Edinburgh for Dave (sub A Hawke) peacocks Stag Tour.
