USS Oriskany - OE Division

Vietnam Era Sailor Photos and Memories

Anyone wishing to post their pictures or just document theirstories is welcome to send them to me via E-mail.

The OE Division guys and wives held a reunion during the first week of May, 2006. We stayed one block off of the strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. If anyone wants to host future reunions, just let me know and I'll publish the information here (or forward the info to as many email addresses as I know). We have lost Dean Callison to cancer and Dennis Paschal due to a heart attack.

2009 OE Division Reunion: May 10, 2009 through May 13, 2009 at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas, NV -- contact a fellow ET or DS sailor for more information.

The OE Division has a special web site for reunion information at:

http://www.oriskany.talkspot.com

We're posting our memories there as well as pictures and information about past and future OE Division reunions. If you have questions, email me at [email protected] for the latest, or give me a call at 303-451-9166.

NOTE:  In 2009 we plan to use http://www.facebook.com to post reunion pictures.  Go there and sign up for an account, then go to the USS Oriskany Alumni group site to find the OE Division Reunion photos.

Stories and Memories

Taking a break from the grueling radar maintenance work.:-)

Enjoying the night life that Olongapo City provided
Note: We couldn't help but build life-long friendships because many of us worked together, ate together, and relaxed together for as many as four cruises (four years).

Cruise Photos

Here are our cruise photos from 1972. Hope we're all a lot better looking after all these years. :o)

    Poems

I wrote a few poems to honor the ship and the two flight mishaps that I remembered the most. It took a few years and tears to finally write it all down. It's the best I can do, and I hope I've done right for the ship and men involved in these tragic events. Go to http://oriskany.fortunecity.com/oriskany.html to read the poems.
