"Pictures" allows you to set the number of pictures displayed at one time. You can have from 1 to 15. My Screen Saver will still display all of the image files in the designated Image Set, (see Limitations above) this just determines the amount displayed at one time. If you have fewer image files in the selected Image Set than the display number, you will necessarily see duplicate images on the screen.
"Display Options" "Default" "Custom" "Both" --- "Screens" --- "Cycle"
"Default" My Screen Saver comes with settings that determine the size and position of the images for each display, from one to 15. With this option checked, My Screen Saver will use those defaults. When you first install My Screen Saver this will be the only option of the three, "Default", "Custom" and "Both", that is available.
"Custom" If you have not set up custom displays, this option will not be available. If "Custom" is available and checked, My Screen Saver will display only the custom displays that you have set up for the particular display # you have selected in the "Pictures" box. If there is more then one custom, My Screen Saver will start with the first one and cycle through each custom until it reaches the last custom display. It will then start over again. The "Screens" selection box determines how many screens you see for each custom display.
"Both" This is the same as "Custom" except that after the last custom, My Screen Saver will show the default display.
"Screens" This box is only available if the Custom and Both options are available. That is you have at least one custom display set up. This determines the number of screens that will be displayed before going to the next display. If you set this to zero, My Screen Saver will display enough screens to show all of the image files that you have in the selected Image Set. For example if you have selected Display 10 and you have 21 files in the Image Set, My Screen Saver will show three full screens, or 30 pictures. If you are in random display mode, you will still see 30 pictures, but you may not see all of the pictures available.
"Cycle" This box is only available after you have set up at least one cycle. If you select a cycle number here then everything else in the Pictures frame will be ignored and the selected cycle will be displayed. If you leave this at zero then the Pictures frame options are used.
"Display Interval" sets the relative time until the next picture is displayed. This interval starts when the current image is completely displayed. If Shrink and Grow are active, this interval begins after Grow is completed. You'll have to experiment with this, especially if you change the number of pictures displayed at once. This can be as Fast as .001 seconds or as Slow as 60 seconds. The faster speeds are more dependent upon the speed of your system and the size of the image file being displayed. If you set this to .001 and have selected a low number of pictures, they may appear to zoom past your vision. If so, increase this interval.
"Picture Order" determines if the images are displayed in the order in the Image Set or randomly. If you select random mode, and you have more image files in the selected Image Set than the display number, you will not see duplicate images on the screen.

Buttons:
"Image Sets" An Image Set is a group of image files on your system, that you have selected to be displayed by My Screen Saver. The first time you run My Screen Saver, it will create a default Image Set using the image files that are in the application folder(the folder where you installed the program). You can create as many Image Sets as you wish and switch between them whenever you want. You can even switch to a different Image Set while the My Screen Saver is running. See the Slideshow options in the Image Tab help file. Image Sets are created on another form. Click here for help on that form.
"Customize" You can create custom displays, setting the size, area, order and postion of your pictures. When you click this button another form will be displayed. It will have the display that is currently selected in the pictures box. Click here for help on that form.
"Cycles" Cycles allow you to show different displays in the same running of My Screen Saver. For instance you can have it start with 5 images, then go to 10 images, then 13, then whatever. After you set up at least one cycle, you can select a cycle number in the cycle box and everything else in the Pictures and Displays boxes will become grayed and unavailable. This indicates that they are not in effect because you have set a cycle to run and you have specified these parameters in the cycle. When you click this button another form will be displayed. Click here for help on that form.

Overall:
"OK" will save your changes and exit the setup.
"Cancel" will discard your changes and exit setup. The "X" at the top right will also do this.
"Website" This button is a hyperlink to my website on the internet. If you are not on the internet, it should bring up your sign on screen. If it doesn't, then your PC settings need to be adjusted and that is beyond the scope of this help. If you are already signed onto the web, it will take you to my home page. From there you can check to see if you have the latest version of My Screen Saver. You can also check out the help pages. Eventually I will have a FAQ page, that you can check out. You can also see if I've managed to finish any new shareware.
"Start up Delay" There is a built in delay of approximately 20 seconds when the Screen Saver first starts and after the Password or Ask On Exit screens are canceled. During this 20 seconds, all mouse action and keyboard activity is ignored. This is to give you time to move your hand away from the mouse or keyboard.
