The 1997 application was rejected from the British Council due to insufficient resources...
So your diploma/bachelor will be a piece of paper which compared to other colleges is NOTHING!!
Why wasting 3 years of your life for NOTHING??

Contact your course leader directly if a tutor pisses you off
especially if you think you are not treated equally and fairly!!
Some courses have MORE privileges than others..
e.g.: bigger and better lecture theaters, more flexible tutors!!
If you are a foreign student then use your right against racism!!!
Most of the tutors are bastards with an attitude ...
Provoke them or let the local authorities know about them...
Complain about the poor classrooms and about the stupid
timetable some courses have!!
Some courses go to SINST at 9 o'clock in the morning
have a lecture for ONLY 1 hour and then
they have to come back at 5 o'clock in the afternoon...
plus that some courses have lectures/labs/other after 6 o'clock
which is 100% ILLEGAL !! nowhere else this thing happens !!
Go to the HELP DESK and shout about the old fashioned computers
they have and the stupid timetables they make you follow...
There is always a tutor with a couple of STUPID students
that are using the FASTEST computers to learn how to use WORD!!
Haven't you noticed?????
Plus... the Internet connection sucks BIG TIME!!!!!
It is slow and most of the times crashes!!!!
You can't use Netscape or Email at certain times cause
they don't have enough resources!!!
Last year (97-98) they had a limit of 50(!!!) email and Netscape
connections available at peak times!!

YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!!!
Unlike most universities in THE WORLD, SINST won't give you even 1/2 MB!!
Do you want a FREE dialup service to access the Internet FREE from home ???
TOUGH!!! YOU CAN'T HAVE THIS, TOO!!!!!
Unlike most universities in THE WORLD, SINST has no dialup service for students!!
Even if they say so !!!!!!!!
So you must pay for the next 3-4 years an ISP to have Internet plus your telephone bills!!!

We have to admit that the new computer areas are impressing ...
Nice and shiny P-2/Win 95 PCs but unfortunately the network still crashes...
A LOT THIS TIME.... so KEEP TRYING !!!!!!!! :((
Plus... there is a security hole in all the new Pentium 2/Win 95 computers...
To be more specific...
If you login to a public service, such as
Free Web Mail (Yahoo,Hotmail etc) or to other applications
that put a cookie (text info) in your machine (most of them do), then ...
there a quite big posibility that the next one that uses the PC you were using,
can login to YOUR Yahoo/Hotmail account ...
This security problem happens mostly when using the Yahoo JAVA pager...
This has as a result the following...
If your MAIL/JAVA is open then he/she can change your password/details
and lock you out of your account!!!!!!
So to protect yourselves U CAN'T USE Yahoo Pager because of that hole!!!
and unfortunately ICQ which is a stand-alone application and it's more secure
can't load on any machine because of the firewall that the IT team uses...
Also...
when u log out from the computer the network DOESN'T CLEAR
the Netscape and IE cache and history properly so the next one, quite easily,
can see where you've been/doing !!!
These two small examples show how IGNORANT the people of the IT staff are
and that the only things they know is how to help u print a f**king document...
IT-STAFF U SUCK BIG TIME...
Last comment: mIRC IS NOT ILLEGAL TO USE!!!!!!!!!!
Most of the Unis in the UK use it and allow it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the next time an IT staff tells you off about mIRC
be smart and tell HIM OFF!!!!
You're in a University (as THEY say), you're a Student
SO THEY CAN'T FORCE YOU STOP USING MIRC!!!!
YOU MUST/CAN HAVE ACCESS TO ANYTHING YOU WANT!!!
THEIR ACTIONS are ILLEGAL not mIRC!!!
So install mIRC to all machines and enjoy live chat!!!!!!
