Dear Parents, With the Ministry of Education's Masterplan for IT in Education, every child will have easy access to the computer. Phase 1 of the IT Masterplan began in April 1997 with the integration of information technology into the curricula of 10 primary and 10 secondary schools plus two junior colleges. Just a year later, in 1998 (Phase 2), about 106 schools had come into the picture. 1999 sees Phase 3 with about 230 schools integrating IT in the curriculum. By year 2000, the student-computer ratio will be 6.6:1 in all primary schools and 5:1 in all secondary schools and junior colleges. By year 2002, the MOE targets a 2:1 student-computer ratio in all schools, using IT in teaching and learning. We are a pool of experienced IT graduate tutors/teachers residing in all areas islandwide, willing to integrate IT in HOME TUITION for all subjects at Primary, Secondary and Junior College levels to enhance vast improvements.
