Welcome to John Neff's Home Page

This is John Neff's  homepage on the World Wide Web.

I have just completed my stay at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
I graduated summa cum laude on May 8, 1999, with a double Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education Physics and Mathematics.

I recently completed my student teaching at Westmont Hilltop High School in Johnstown, PA. My cooperating teachers were Mr. Thomas Moore (Physics) and Ms. Claudia Christner (Mathematics).

Following student teaching, I taught at Westmont Hilltop Middle School. My classes included a sixth grade math, two seventh-grade pre-algebras, and two computer literacy classes (fifth and seventh grades).

Currently, I am teaching math at Quaker Valley High School in Sewickly, Pennsylvania, which is located just west of Pittsburgh.  I have two classes of computer geometry, one class of Functions, Trigonometry, and Statistics, and one class of conceptual physics.  This is turning out to be a terrific experience.

I am also working on my master's degree in Instructional Technology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.  I have just started the program this fall, but I plan to graduate in the spring of 2001.   Click here to see a sample of my work for the GITED 811: Technology in Education course.

Some of the hobbies I enjoy are distance running, fishing, web page design, and ultimate frisbee.

My favorite activity is distance running.

At the top of this page is a picture of a  runner in the Boston Marathon.

I hope to be there too in the year 2000!
