Glenn Danzig: Vocalist 1977-1983
Born on 6/23/55, Glenn was the Misfits' lead singer and songwriter. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1973 and was in several bands, including Talus and Whodat And Boojang, before forming The Misfits. While in The Misfits, Glenn also released a solo 7". In 1983, he started Samhain with Misfits photographer/roadie/friend Eerie Von.

1977-1983: Fender Rhodes electric piano (used on COUGH/COOL 7"), Fender amplifier and cabinet (for piano), Danelectro semi-hollow guitar, Gibson Les Paul Junior guitar, 1957 Gretsch guitar (used on "Where Eagles Dare" and "American Nightmare"), Prophet 5 keyboard (used on WHO KILLED MARILYN 7").
Jerry Only: Bassist 1977-1983
Jerry was born on 4/21/59 and spent most of his life in Lodi, New Jersey. He received a bass guitar for Christmas his senior year at Lodi High School and began playing in February '77, just 2 months later. The following month he was introduced to Glenn Danzig by Manny. When the Misfits broke up in 1983, Jerry went on to form Kryst The Conqueror with his brother Doyle. They later brought back The Misfits.

1987-1994: custom-made Rand Annihilator bass.
1994-now: custom-made Rand Annihilator bass, Ampeg SVT amplifiers, Ampeg SVT cbabinets, Acoustic amplifier (used as pre-amplifier).

Manny: Drummer 1977
Manny graduated from Lodi High School in 1971 and played in a number of unknown bands before introducing Jerry and Glenn in March of 1977. He played drums on the Cough/Cool 7" single and at the band's first few shows.

Franché Coma: Guitarist 1977-1978
Franché Coma was born on 8/17/57 and spent most of his life in Lodi, NJ. His first recording was a special acetate/single with Mike Morance in 1974. In the fall of 1977 he joined The Misfits as their first guitarist. All of Franché's guitar work with the band was recorded in January of 1978 during the famous Static Age sessions. He left the band in November of 1978 and went on to play guitar for Active Ingredients. At present, Franché is still living in Lodi with his wife and four children.

Mr. Jim: Drummer 1977-1978
Mr. Jim, born on 1/5/54, replaced Manny in the fall of 1977 and remained in the band until November of 1978. He still lives in Lodi, New Jersey and graduated with Manny from Lodi High School in 1971. He had been in an earlier band called Whodat And Boojang with Glenn. Mr. Jim is featured on the same songs as Franché. He left the band soon after Franché did and returned to his other band Continental Crawler. He later played for The Adults and Aces And Eights.

Rick Riley: Guitarist 1978
Rick Riley replaced Franché Coma for two Misfits shows in 1978 after Franché left the band. At the time, Rick was the lead singer of the Victims, the only non-Glenn Danzig band ever to release an album on Plan Records. Rick later played in Aces And Eights with Mr. Jim.
Joey Image: Drummer 1978-1979
Joey joined The Misfits in November of 1978 just before Bobby Steele did. He was the drummer for both the "Horror Business" and "Night Of The Living Dead" sessions of '79. In December of '79, after the band's aborted tour of England with The Damned, he left the band. After The Misfits, he was the drummer for The Whorelords. He spent most of his life in New York and now lives in Florida and plays for Human Buffet.

Bobby Steele: Guitarist 1978-1980
Bobby Steele, born on 3/18/56, auditioned for The Misfits in November of 1978. Nine days later he played his first show with the band, on the Sunday after the famous "Koolaid killings". Bobby's guitar work can be found on the same exact recordings as Joey Image, as well as on "London Dungeon" and many other MSP session recordings. Bobby was replaced by Jerry's younger brother Doyle in October 1980. Wasting no time, he immediately formed The Undead, who opened for The Misfits on 12/17/81 (the night "Evilive" was recorded). He also plays bass for Times Square. His previous bands included Parrotox, Slash, The Skabs, and The Whorelords. He has played for Mourning Noise, Sloppy Seconds, The Migraines, and The Graveyard School, and appeared in several movies.

Arthur Googy: Drummer 1980-1982
Arthur, nicknamed "The Goog" by his Misfits pals, joined the band in April of 1980 and remained until April of 1982 when he left after an argument with Glenn. He was with the band during the famous MSP sessions as well as the Mix-O-Lydian and Fair Lawn sessions of 1981 that resulted in the "Walk Among Us" LP. After The Misfits, Arthur joined Antidote, a New York band that later opened for the Misfits. Arthur still lives in New York City.

Doyle: Guitarist 1980-1983
Doyle, born on 9/15/64, officially joined The Misfits in October of 1980, but was playing with the band much earlier. He learned to play guitar from Jerry and Glenn at the age of thirteen and was present as early as the Static Age sessions, if only as an observer. His first show with The Misfits was on Halloween of 1980 when he was just 16 years old. Doyle also played with Kryst The Conqueror and later brought back The Misfits with Jerry.

1994-now: custom-made Rand Devastator guitar, Ampeg Lee Jackson heads, Dean Markley strings.
Todd Swalla: Drummer 1982/1983
Todd Swalla played drums for The Necros from 1979 to 1987. During this time, he played drums at two Misfits shows (6/25/82 and 10/29/83) when The Misfits were having drummer problems. He also did the soundcheck with the band at the 10/30/81 Halloween show. After The Necros, Todd played with Carnival Of Souls from '87 to '89, Solid Gold Hell from '89 to '90, Foil from '90 to '91, Laughing Hyenas from '91 to '96, Autopilot from '93 to '97, Overblue in '97, and his current band Streamlined, since '98.

Robo: Drummer 1982-1983
Robo joined The Misfits during the summer of 1982. He had been detained in England after touring with his former band Black Flag, and The Misfits provided him with a job when he got back. Robo's drumming is featured on the "Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood" LP and the "Die, Die My Darling" EP. He left the band in August of 1983 because he couldn't tolerate Glenn any longer. Afterwards, Robo got married and worked for several years at Proedge with Jerry and Doyle. He later moved back to South America and has recently returned to the US.

Brian Damage: Drummer 1983
Born 2/11/63, Brian "Damage" Keats joined the band in October 1983, soon after Robo left. His first and only show (Detroit, Halloween 1983) turned out to be the band's final show with Glenn. After the first song, Brian (who was drunk) was replaced for the rest of the show by Todd Swalla from The Necros. Brian had played for Genocide and Verbal Abuse before joining The Misfits. He went on to play for Hellbent, The Kretins, The Hellhounds, The Skulls, Angels In Vain, Princess Pang, Raging Slab, and The Diamondbacks in New York City. After moving to Los Angeles, he played with Wink, Pressurehed, Baron Jive, Sylvain Sylvain, The Light Bachwood Movement, Link Protrudi And The Jaymen, Low Pop Suicide, 3 Day Wheely, Marioux, Bortek, Susanna Hoffs, Doppler, The Fuzztones, Tramdriver, Jason Falkner, Woozy, and Dave Vanian And The Phantom Chords. He has also done session work.
