Water Purification
Water purification- the act or an instance of purifying water, or of being purified.
This is a picture of a water purifier. Not the little ones that you have in your house (obviously) but the ones that purify water for your town.
How It Works:
A water purification technician operates and maintains the equipment used in producing purified water using reverse osmosis* and deionization*. Additionally, they monitor equipment and analyze water samples to identify that the water being produced is of an adequate quality. Water purified to various levels is used in the semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, beverage and cosmetics industries.
*reverse osmosis- the movement of fresh water through a semipermeable membrane when pressure is applied to a solution (as seawater) on one side of it.
*deionization- to remove ions from <~ water by ion exchange>
