Labor, might the balding guy on the cover be Illyan Payne?

Yeah, the Swedish cover puts the other two to shame. I don't find the American one much better than the British one, but I have to say the latter is more humiliating. :)

As for the UK cover, I'd like to toss in a vote that the woman is none other than Ashara Dayne . . . why, you ask?

(1) dark hair as Ashara Dayne;
(2) looks like light eyes as she;
(3) looks like an ocean shore in the background
which makes me think of Starfall; and
(4) the glimmering dress and crown makes me think of stars . . . once again, Starfall castle.

Instead of Howland Reed, perhaps if the focus is more on Dorne and Highgarden . . . well, maybe we will learn what really happened at the Tower of Joy.

Perhaps the skulls symbolize more death and destruction? Or, maybe they're the skulls of Ned's father and older brother?

As for the two dumb asses in the middle who are off balance and look like they need to run to the bathroom . . . I'll take the safe road on that one and say Jon and an Other/wildling.

Jon is going to lose his virginity in book three and he won't be saying this:

THE SEED IS STRONG!!! :)

Let me just throw in my two cents ...

The guy on the right is undoubtedly Tyrion.

The girl on the left seems to be Margaery in my opinion. Note, the coronet and hair color.

The central scene has me wondering, though.

The best clue seems to be the glowing sword, which is either Lightbringer or the sword of an Other. I agree, however, that the guy who wields it hardly seems to be an Other.

This would leave either Stannis vs. somebody, or Jon vs. somebody with the sword of an Other.

If that's Tyrion, he looks awfully old.

Bald and white-bearded? Hello? And does he still have his nose where it should (not) be?

Not really old. He has hair on the top of his head, it's just rather thin and very pale. The white beard is supposed to be the very pale golden that he has, though your monitor may or make not pick up on that.. The artist missed on the fact that he's got black hair as well, though.

As to the nose, I thought something around half of Tyrion's nose was still attached. What we see doesn't look like the whole thing, anyhow, but it's hard to tell.

Took Me a while but I think I figured out what the fight scene is...

Beric Vs. The Hound.

Note the lightning bolt on the chest.
The Hound has only the good side of his face turned so you don't see the scars...

(Not a good cover but oh well....)

There are scars on that side of face. Far less than it should be, though -- Burns tried to get the suggestion of scar ridges, but it just doesn't work or come anywhere close to the reality of the Hound's disfigurement.

Also I thought the lady was Lysa standing in front of the moon door. (note the blue and white Arryn colors)

This is just an educated guess though..

Isn't Lysa supposed to be fat, though?

Not to say it couldn't be her anyway...

My previous post seems to have been deleted. I'm not sure why, I didn't think it had any more spoilers than lots of other posts, although I suppose many of those could just have been people guessing. To sum up, the fight is Beric and the Hound, and I think that the woman could be Sansa, though she looks too old
