I am _so_ jealous. I remember snowdrifts like some long distant ancestral memory - we haven't had snow thicker than an inch in absloutely years in the UK (or at least not where I've been). Can I come visit (and fling snowballs at you)?

Fortunately, Seattle is gorgeous today. I am coming to believe that the LD part of our R will not work, but that's ok. I had created an emotional buffer so large that this realisation doesn't seem so drastic right now. We're not about being together all the time, even when we're not. That's impossible. We're about not being alone with certain thoughts and dreams in this world, and that doesn't need vindication right now. And summer isn't so far off...
