I think I made a thread for this before but I'm too lazy to check. Anyway, I think everyone deserves a theme song. Ally McBeal has one. Debo from Friday has one. Jaws has one. Hewey from Scream has one.
So I believe in about ten years when ASOIAF has spread across all civilization like Dianetics and CDs from famous artists are compiled about their favorite characters. We should be ready for that moment. Here's a little head start.
I think the list should go like this.
Robb- Beethoven's Ode to Joy. It's that wicked song that is played in Die Hard for you film buffs.
Aerys the Mad- DRIVE ME CRAZY from Britney Spears. Ha ha. No, seriously. I can't come up with one right now, but I'll think.
Wildlings' Theme - Conan the Barbarian, the one with the mega drums going on.
Can't think of any others right now. Any suggestions?

Do events count - The music for the Riot of King's Landing is Lou Reed's Dirty Blvd.

The four seasons of Vivaldi sure deserve to be there, too...

I actually wrote a song about Tyrion Lannister, called 'The Smallest Lion'

SPARHAWK, I don't think Orff is appropriate considering his twisted ideology.

Don't know if I would call Carmina Burana opera. Just a bunch of medieval Latin and German poems set to music. I think it has very little to do with Orff's ideology (which, if I recall correctly, was strongly nationalistic?) and much to do with ... well, music. It's beautiful, often powerful stuff, and I've always felt bits of it would fit certain scenes and characters well.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ORFF'S IDEOLOGY WAS. WHO SHALL ENLIGHTEN ME?

You mean the guy who trained Jon Snow in the Night's Watch? Wasn't he a bit of a hard ass and not much liked?
I have a few song ideas but they're all drawn from movies, because that's my obsession. So I apologize inadvance.
OOPS, I DID IT AGAIN. Ha ha ha ha ha, man.
Jon Snow - The Seeker by The Who. It was used in The Limey and American Beauty and it totally rocked.
Bran Stark - Whatever (I Had A Dream) by The Butthole Surfers, you can find it on the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack too.
Rickard Stark - Take A Look Around by Limp Bizkit. It's on the MI-2 soundtrack. Fits Rickard like a glove.
Any ideas for songs for scenes or battles? How's about this.
Siege of King's Landing - Duel of the Fates from Star Wars Episode I.

The Night's Watch - All Along the Watchtower (I think Dylan wrote that, though Hendrix did it best)
