ANDY THORNTON, CHRIS SCHAEFER AND JOHN STAIB

Andy, Chris and John don't have webpages, but the following should give you some idea of what they've done:

ANDY THORNTON

Although Andy was one of the better read writers of the Anarchovillage (do you know anyone else who has actually read the complete works of Lenin?), he was also the last of the actual Anarchovillage writers to break into print with his scholarly The Martian Named Smith: Critical Perspectives on Robert A. Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land written in collaboration with Bill Patterson. It was certainly worth the wait, and hopefully we'll be seeing more from him (and Bill) in the future.

CHRIS SCHAEFER

Aside from being the first official resident (and ultimately manager) of the Anarchovillage, Chris has also produced, written and directed a short biographical film on science fiction writer and screenwriter, George Clayton Johnson. Chris has also written a number of screenplays (as yet unproduced) and has been on the verge of completing his monumental biography of filmmaker William Castle for years (he's literally only got about a chapter to go, so come on, Chris, finish that thing).

JOHN STAIB (1949 - 2001)

John was the last of the writers to arrive at the Anarchovillage, taking up residence in Apartment #8 (which had been previously occupied by Victor and then by Steve), but, unfortunately, that was also where he died of a heart attack in 2001. His entire writing career consists of two stories, both of which were published while he was a resident: "A Hot Afternoon" appeared in the May 1990 issue of Argosy (published and edited by Richard Kyle, another Anarchovillage associate), and "Sir Dieudonne's Dragon" was published in the March 1984 issue of Fantasy Book.
