023 [2.01-97] Don't Take My Love Away / Spaete Hochzeit

    On their 19th wedding anniversary Eric and Annie renew their wedding
    vows again - much to the dismay of the children who can't find anything
    positive about it, especially about having the ceremony on the last
    weekend of the summer. Lucy still isn't over the breakup with Jimmy,
    Mary is in a constant bad mood. Annie prepares the attic for Simon to
    move up there and have a room of his own. This is something Ruthie on
    the other hand doesn't like since she will be alone in her room then.
    Nora Chambers asks Eric for help: she wants to meet the man who killed
    her husband three years ago but no one seems to be able to help her in
    persuading the killer to agree to a meeting. Heather is about to leave
    Glenoak for her school.

024 [2.02-97] See You in September / Der erste Schultag

    With the kids' time over, the parents' time is just about to begin:
    school starts again and Eric and Annie look forward to a nice, quiet
    day at home. This changes with Sgt. Michaels call for help when a
    high school boy threatens to jump off a building. Lucy's day at school
    starts bad when she discovers that Ashley has a locker next to her.
    To make things worse she can't get her locker open. For the others
    it's no fun day either when all of them get caught: Lucy and Mary with
    Aspirin (no drugs rule), Matt with a beeper (his dad's, accidentally),
    Simon with a knife (his mom put into the lunch box) and Ruthie wearing
    her cap backwards (gang signs, not allowed).

025 [2.03-97] I Love You / Liebesgefluester

    For her home management class Lucy must plan out meals for a family of
    four for a month. Going to the market with her mom she meets Laurie,
    a classmate, who is run down by her mom. Annie offers to take Laurie
    along, so she won't 'bother' her mom. Annie smells abuse and when Eric
    drives by at Laurie's to pick up stuff (she's spending the night at
    Lucy's) he sees that it runs in the family. Matt wrote a love letter
    to Heather, and Simon and Ruthie take a glance at it. As kind of a
    payback for snooping around, Matt writes a fake letter to 'Mrs. Matt
    Camden'. Unfortunately, Eric catches the letter first a thinks that he
    and Heather are indeed married and the uncertainty (Matt is out for some
    hours) drives him, Annie and Heather's mom crazy. Matt's 'I Love You'
    also poses the question for Mary when Wilson will say those three
    words to her.

026 [2.04-97] Who Knew? / Grosse Kinder, grosse Sorgen

    Matt gets a joint from one of his friends at school and loses it at
    home at the front door. When Happy drops the joint right in front of
    Eric's feet he is less than pleased to find pot at his home. His quest
    now is clear: find the guilty party. Lucy dates a cool guy from school.
    Ruthie learns how to do the laundry.

028 [2.06-97] Breaking Up Is Hard to Do / Beziehungskrisen

    Matt gets a 'Dear John' letter from Heather, sending him right to
    Philadelphia to have an eye-to-eye talk with her - unbeknown to his
    parents. Simon, as the only single six-grader left without a girlfriend
    says 'yes' to a girl and regrets that move soon. Feeling unwelcomed by
    her father, Wilson calls it quits with Mary just as she sees a perfect
    relationship looming. Ruthie gets a teacher's note for her parents after
    she kisses a boy (as revenge for him kissing her). And Lucy is the only
    one left out with no boyfriend to kiss her.

030 [2.08-97] Do Something / Eine Familie macht Geschaefte

    Mr. Field wants Annie's muffins to sell them in his bakeries and makes
    her a lucrative offer. An offer Mary and Lucy want her to accept to
    'gain some self-confidence'. Only Annie doesn't know she has a problem.
    Simon is in the greeting-cards business which should earn him an action
    figure. Ruthie buys him out and makes a fortune by herself. Matt takes
    care of a dying boy, a job his father doesn't want him to do since he's
    a notorious job-killer and this isn't a job to fail. But Matt does a
    perfect job and he and Stevie become good friends.

    Their intentions were good, buth things go awry when Matt arranges a
    date for Mary, and Mary arranges for Lucy to be invited to a sleep-over

033 [2.11-98] Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way / Der Colonel raeumt auf

    Eric's church is chosen - as first in a row - to have a service telecast
    on TV and Eric's totally excited about it. Penning a great sermon is
    another thing when writer's block strikes. With Eric asking for time
    for writing, Annie takes care of more than the usual stuff and things
    get slightly out of control. Simon dreams about becoming a magician and
    wants Ruthie to be his assistant. Ruthie declines, she wants to practice
    magic herself - although mostly because Simon does it and not because
    it's a dream of hers. Lucy's in with the laid-back crowd and promptly
    places her American History mid-term at 'D'. Recovering Mary learns
    that a basketball-playing student has transferred and - after watching
    her play - she decides to quit the team. The Colonel finds out that help
    is needed at the Camden household and his mission is clear: Support.

034 [2.12-98] Rush to Judgement / Falsches Spiel mit Mary

    When Lou, the church treasurer, asks Eric to drop the Wednesday service
    because of money reasons, Eric wants to take a look into the books.
    Doing this, Annie discovers that $2.500 are missing - leading to one
    suspect: Lou. And he certainly hides something, only Annie and Eric
    can't figure out what. Coach Koper's disliking attitude toward him
    bothers Matt while his 'liking' attitude towards Mary troubles Lucy:
    she gets 'a bad feeling' when she sees him hugging Mary. Simon's new
    love for golf carries him away - right into trouble.

035 [2.13-98] Stuck in the Middle With You /
                                                        Er liebt mich, er liebt mich nicht

    After Jimmy Moon split up with Ashley, he and Rod soon line up to
    be Lucy's new boyfriend. Now Lucy has the difficult task to choose
    between one of them to be the boy at her side, resulting in bets
    between her siblings. Annie's dad drops by with some news and surprises:
    he and Ginger quit over a few changes he made: Those changes - and
    surprises - are his new hairpiece and the fact that he want to reserve
    the burial plots next to his and his wife's for Annie and Eric. And
    this last one results in a big argument between Annie and Eric who
    thought to be buried at the Camden Tomb back in New York. Eric counsels
    newlyweds and soon finds out that not everything is going perfectly in
    their relationships. Ruthie keeps lizards.

036 [2.14-98] Red Tape / Bitte und Danke

    Annie is fed up with her kids' lack of manners and behavior, so she
    tries to teach them at least the basics, 'Please' and 'Thank You'.
    Lucy borrows a new sweater from Mary - without telling her. When she
    stains it Mary demands it returned cleaned, which adds some shrinking
    to the sweater - although cleaned according to the instructions. Trying
    to return it to the shop Lucy runs into more trouble when the owner
    refuses to take it back without the receipt. Eric runs into a nice,
    polite little boy. Smelling their might be problems he follows him and
    later talks to his mother. His instincts are proven right, when his
    mother tells him that her husband tricked her into a marriage, left her
    and dumped his IRS problems on her. Matt finds his ad for a girlfriend
    in the shool paper - only problem, he didn't place it there. Happy is
    issued a credit card.

037 [2.15-98] Homecoming / Marys Comeback

    Mary's comeback - her first game after the accident - is due and she's
    afraid of it. And for the dance afterwards she hasn't a date either.
    Lucy's friend Suzanne returns to Glenoak and drops by at the Camden's
    not telling them that she actually ran away from home. Ruthie goes on
    her first field trip to the museum. And her worst nightmare - losing
    the group and being left behind - comes true although her mom
    accompanied her to assure this won't happen. Simon thinks his science
    teacher hates him.

039 [2.17-98] Nothing Endures But Change / Schicksalsschlaege

    Lucy wants to go for a pizza with her friend Sarah and Sarah's older
    sister Jen. Annie however isn't delighted that her daughter wants to
    be in a car with someone who just got her license. However, Matt
    dropping her off and picking her up there is okay. What they don't
    know is that Jen and Sarah change their plans and Lucy agrees for a
    burger out of town. A misunderstanding results in a miss and while
    Jen and Sarah want to tank some gas, Lucy waits. Unfortunately, they
    crash with driver Sarah getting killed. Mary baby-sits for Wilson's
    son. Simon finally moves out and into his new room, Matt's old one.

042 [2.20-98] Like a Harlot / Der Abschlussball

    Connie's dad asks Eric for a favor: since his daughter has no date
    for the prom, he'd like Eric to ask his son to take her out. Matt
    agrees and asks Connie. With Annie's and the girls' help, they get
    Connie dressed up for a night to remember. Too late Eric and Annie
    learn that they've set up Matt with the 'Highschool Harlot'. Mary
    and Lucy agree to a blind double date with one of their brother's
    friend - not realizing they actually have two brothers. Ruthie's
    madness for child character Slappy takes a sharp turn after going
    backstage after a show and realizing that a human acts behind a
    masquerade. And if her parents made her believe Slappy is real maybe
    they also trick her into believing in God ? Spring and Junior High
    means one thing: seeing the 'dreaded' film in health class. Not
    only feeling robbed of the fantasies, Simon now also has to face
    another talk about sex with his dad.

043 [2.21-98] Boyfriends ... (1) / Jungs... (1)

    The kids, and especially Ruthie, are mad at Matt because he'll soon
    be leaving for college, and first for a summer job in D.C. - something
    he hasn't even told his parents yet. Those are not exactly happy
    after learning the bad news upon the good news, that he as valedictorian
    would miss the grad ceremony. Rod and Jimmy choose Eric for a career
    study project for school and follow him around, somehow driving Eric
    a little bit crazy. Simon tries to train Happy for a commercial. Wilson
    organizes a blind date for Lucy with a neighbor. Matt catches Mary
    lying on bed with Wilson. The following argument results in a sub-zero
    situation between the siblings. Mary is offered to go to basketball
    camp, which requires a physical first. The results of it are quite
    shocking to her parents when they learn about it.

044 [2.22-98] ... And Girlfriends (2) / ...und Maedchen (2)

    Eric's parents drop by for Matt's graduation ceremony at the worst
    time possible - they still had no chance to at least realize the
    news that Mary's pregnant. Matt finds out that the Colonel had his
    hands in him getting into the summer program, making him to reconsider
    his desicion about going to Washington. Happy's previous owner saw
    her trick on TV and now demands her back, totally devastating Simon
    and Ruthie. Despite being a great guy, Lucy breaks up with Kenny because
    he's too perfect to and for her. Annie's dad and Ginger announce
    their engagement. Having Eric's M.I.T's ('Ministers in Training'), Rod
    and Jimmy, around is still a bit bugging, but otherwise they are
    doing a good job. Wilson tells Mary that he and Billy are moving away.
    Good news are coming from the doctor's who has to tell Annie relieving
    news: it wasn't Mary who's pregnant ...
