039 [3.01-97] Labor Day Jammy / Liebe oder Freundschaft?

    Moesha returns from camp (where she was as a camp counselor) and has
    about one week until school starts again. Since it's then private school
    she wants to at least have fun the time remaining - with for instance
    a good time at the Labor Day Jammy. But she clashes with her dad
    again when he wants her to go with him and Dee to her new school's
    fund raiser.

040 [3.02-97] (Grand)Poppa Don't Take No Mess / Immer Aerger mit den Eltern

    Grandpa Mitchell visits, a ray of light for Moesha in the ongoing fight
    with her father. Along with Grandpa also comes Bernie, Frank's brother,
    and Frank soon suffers when Grandpa treats him different than Bernie,
    somehow preferring Bernie over him. For the Barbecue taking place at
    the Mitchell's also Moesha's friends are invited.

041 [3.03-97] Day One / Eine Schule zum Abgewoehnen

    School starts again - for Moesha this means day one at Bridgewood.
    She desperately tries to get her parents to think over their decision,
    to no avail. The first day then quite lives up to her expections (she
    clashes with a snobbish student as well as find her Crenshaw education
    questioned), and trying to return to Crenshaw she learns that she isn't
    that missed as the others made her believe before.

042 [3.04-97] Age Ain't Nothin' But a Number / Hakeem, der Herzensbrecher

    Working at a clothing store, Hakeem meets an older woman, Jennifer,
    and they are both mutally attracted; the only drawback to this is that
    Hakeem lets her believe he's a college guy. When she finds out she
    doesn't mind at all, but when Dee finds out that Hakeem's dating an
    older woman she forces him to abandon this relationship, backed up by
    Mo. And his own mother doesn't even know about it yet.

    The times, they are a changing: The Mitchells throw a yard sale to
    get the old or unused stuff out as well as sell the furniture to
    redecorate the living room. But even thinking about selling the
    furniture upsets Moesha who still has fond memories about her late
    mother.

    Writing has always been something special for Moesha. But a tough
    teacher in her 'creative writing' class can spoil anything. Over the
    weekend he wants the student to write a play scene: Moesha comes
    up with a post-war story set in a Harlem jazz club ... and a 'D'.

                                                                      In Freud und Leid

    CPQ - Hakeem, Kim and Q's band with Niecy - play at the Den. Moesha,
    knowing that Haley's dad is a record producer, invites her to see the
    band in action. Also the band knows about this and already dreams of a
    bright future - alone it doesn't sit well with Haley who thinks Moesha
    just uses her. Frank bosses around Myles, who is his caddy for an
    upcoming golf tournament where he plays with his wife.

046 [3.08-97] Keepin' It Real / Eine Chance fuer Jeremy

    A group project in school puts together Mo, Haley and Jeremy and Chris.
    While Chris is the pain expected, Jeremy surprises Moesha positively
    with his demeanor, knowledge and attitude - and she soon has an eye on
    him. She eventually dates him, but doesn't like everything she sees.
    Dee wants the others to help her in the household, but the boys overdo
    a bit when they rearrange the kitchen.

047 [3.09-97] Halloween Part I: Kim's Revenge / Halloween Teil 1: Kims Rache

    Kim accidentally hears Mo and Niecy making fun of hear weight -
    resulting in Kim giving them the cold shoulder when it comes to
    the Halloween party. A last-minute flu forces Myles to cancel
    Trick&Treating and stay at home.

048 [3.10-97] Rhythm and Dues / C.P.Q. auf dem Weg nach oben

    Refused to be part of C.P.Q. as singer, Moesha makes herself manager of
    the band. Her first coup is that C.P.Q.'s song is played on the radio -
    with mixed results: while the listeners said 'Top' to the song, C.P.Q.
    gets a letter from Morris Day's attorney with the request to drop the
    part with Day's 'resampled' - read: stolen - song. And that just when
    a lucrative record deal is looming. Dee forgot the first date she had
    with Frank.

049 [3.11-97] Break It Down / Selbst ist die Frau

    Don 'The Dragon' Wilson, a martial-arts star, has chosen The Den as
    location for his next movie. The contract with Andell also includes
    teaching women self-defense lessons. Meanwhile the men meet at a
    father-son retreat, where Frank (as Hakeem's replacement father)
    meets Q and his dad.

    A party at a teen club, the 'Bomb Bay', organized by Q, gets out of
    hands when the rumor spreads that a big star is playing there. A
    neighboring owner of a restaurant subsequently wants to shut down
    the 'Bomb Bay', something the kids want to prevent at all costs.

    Dee's brother Shelby returns from a long trip around the world with
    a new business idea - the get-money-easy-and-quick type. Something
    Dee can't approve especially with a good offer for a solid business
    job in the pocket. Moesha, however, has fallen for Shelby's idea
    (and apparently not only for that) and recruits her pals to help her
    sell the product.

    Moesha agrees to go to a dance with a friend, David, who's a rather

    which is a reason for others not to welcome him at playing basketball.

                                                                      Konkurrenz fuer Moesha

    When the Bridgwood Banner's Editor-in-Chief, Mary Ellen, doesn't give
    Mo a chance to write for the school paper, she without much ado installs
    a rival paper, 'The Blurb'. A move especially welcomed by the Banner's
    staffers, who suffer under an arrogant Mary Ellen. Over her paper Moesha
    neglects the party for Andell's 30th birthday - which she initiated -
    and her friends who are left with all the work to be done.

    Prominent career newswoman Alexandria Noyce is at Bridgwood for a speech
    and some Q&A. As an old friend of Frank's, Moesha invites her over - but
    learns later that she and Frank were more than just 'friends' and there
    still could be some attraction involved. As a person with a name, Alex
    could be an important factor for Moesha to land an internship in
    Washington.

    In need of money, Moesha decides to take on a job, which she gets
    with Hakeem's help. As the model employee she soon finds herself

    weekends - weekends actually planned for her family.

    The only reason to earn money is to spend it: so for Moesha getting
    her own telephone, cable, and a new furniture is mandatory. Frank is
    happy that she doesn't bother him and he's off the hook paying
    for her. Mo's friends like the new place to hang around. Only Dee
    doesn't really like what she's seeing.

    A trip to SeaWorld with her pals ends them in Mexico after they've
    been thrown up of SeaWorld. There Mo loses the car keys. Dee and
    Frank invite Andell and Johnny over to celebrate their first year
    together. Johnny wants a raise from Frank.

059 [3.21-98] Body Language / Kunst am Koerper

    Truth or Daring with her friends ends up in Moesha getting a tattoo,
    partly also as a sign of independence. While Dee takes the 'can't
    change it' road, Frank after a short time leaves that road with a
    U-turn to frankly tell Mo his opinion. Hakeem gets a second job at
    The Den; he creates a new shake.

060 [3.22-98] Pajama Jam / Ein Vater sieht rot

    Morgan throws a pajama party which also Mo and friends attend. At the
    party Mo not only meets Jeremy but also learns that the boys also
    sleep over. This generates a slight uneasiness for Mo but for Frank
    after finding out it's a reason to storm the party. With Mo at the
    party, Myles is quickly sent to a friend's, so Dee and Frank have an
    evening alone for themselves.
