    Josh has found an ill boy and he directly brings him to the

    died during a surgery). He more prefers the way of a healing woman.
    But Josh can't just sit there and watch the boy die and so he tries
    his best to persuade the boy's parents to allow the operation ...

    Josh reluctantly plays cupid for his old pal Charlie. The shy and
    not so handsome Charlie is ready for marriage but no one wants him,
    and Josh has problems to find one for him too. He comes up with
    an idea: he calls in his friend Amy to take him out and be at his
    side for two weeks so Charlie gets some self-confidence. Soon after
    Amy started dating Charlie, Josh finds out about a woman in town who
    also has her eyes on Charlie ...

    Josh goes undercover and helps Tom Dun, an imprisoned criminal,
    to break out in order to find out where he has hidden the $50.000
    from a bank robbery. After the breakout Josh goes with Tom and
    his wife to the actual place and leaves behind a clear track
    for two officers who then should return the money and Tom.

    Finally Josh comes close to Pringle, the wanted man he is chasing.
    Unfortunately, Pringle is on the way being lynched because of
    killing another man. With the help of a woman Josh manages to
    free Pringle and together these three flee the scene, hunted by
    the men who now have nobody to hang. Underway, Pringle discovers
    that Josh is after his head and gets rid of Josh - who now falls
    into the pursuers's hands.

    Josh delivers Jumbo Kane, a highly dangerous and already sentenced
    to death man. Soon after he has handed him over to the sheriff,
    Kane can take the sheriff by surprise. Now with the (shot) sheriff
    as hostage, Kane demands a horse and safe-conduct. But with the
    sheriff dead he won't go far and so he demands another hostage.
    Since the citizens doesn't know that their sheriff is already dead
    they force Josh - since he's the only one dispensable - to be the
    hostage.

    Josh delivers Hunt Willis, a wanted man, at the sheriff's, goes to
    bed ... and on the next morning the criminal is gone and there's a
    new sheriff! A puzzled Josh now tries to find out what's going on
    and soon realizes that someone impersonated the sheriff to help
    Willis go free.

    the outlaw Curley Bill. Since Appleby's an honest businessman he
    wants to buy back a pistol he sold to Bill which has a flaw that
    could lead to the gun exploding.

045 [2.09-59] The Tyrant / Der Tyrann

    Recruited by the army, Josh seeks the horses and the deserter who
    stole them. And he finds both the horses and the man - in custody
    of the town's marshal. But the marshal, who's ruling the town with
    an iron fist, isn't willing to give them back. First, the citizens
    are on the marshal's side (after all, they elected him) but after
    they realize that he, in fact, is tyrannizing over the town and
    won't go even after the citizens fired him, they turn to Josh for
    help.

    Tate Bradley hires Josh (and other bounty hunters) to search for
    Tony Egan who - in what was ruled an accident - killed his son Paul
    and injured him seriously. Successfully, Josh returns with Egan but
    a grieving and revenge-filled Bradley doesn't want to pay him -
    because Egan is still living. Additionally, Josh finds himself in
    the role of a persona non grata because he has return the popular
    Egan.

    Josh manages to track down Juan Gomez in the desert near the Mexican
    border where he's living now with his family. After a shoot-out
    in which Josh was injured, Gomez, who didn't want to hurt Josh,
    surrenders and promises to come along. Not so his nephew Pachito,
    who tries to follow them both to get his uncle free again. Also
    on Josh trail are two other bounty hunters who want to secure
    their share.

048 [2.12-59] Twelve Hours to Crazy Horse / Zwoelf Stunden bis Crazy Horse

    Josh delivers Murdock, wanted for multiple murder, in Mesa City.
    There he learns that the local sheriff is the brother of Crazy
    Horse's deputy, one of the victims, and it's unlikely that Murdock
    will arrive safely in Crazy Horse (where the trial is held) since
    the sheriff will certainly use his chance to take revenge on their
    way there. Josh, in order to prevent any 'accidents', joins the
    sheriff and Murdock on their trail to Crazy Horse.

    Joe Hooker, after raiding a bank on behalf of his brother Ben, is
    bitten by a dog with rabies. Upon learning this, the sheriff ends
    his pursuit. Josh, however, decides to go after Hooker anyway. In
    the desert he eventually finds him but Joe can take Josh by surprise.
    With Josh as his hostage, Joe returns to his most-wanted brother.
    Although Josh keeps on telling Joe that he has rabies, he as well
    as Ben doesn't believe it.

    Merv Bascomb, after he once again violated the law, kills his brother
    and blames the Apache Red Cloud (from whom he had stolen the horse and
    some furs) for this incident. $500 bounty for Red Cloud - not enough
    to enter the land of the Indians. When Merv adds $1.500 Josh agrees
    to capture Red Cloud. But Merv has another plan: to kill Red Cloud
    as well as Josh - in case he survives the Apache anyway ...

    A very minor offense puts Josh into jail for some days. Actually,
    he got the sentence because the gang around the sheriff and a mine
    owner needed a replacement for a previously killed man. The sheriff
    is 'responsible' to bring in new prisoners who then have to work
    hard in the mine. And the owner and his aids have their tricks to
    expand the prisoners' sentences so they won't leave - at least not
    alive. As soon as Josh learns what's going on he tries to escape,
    but without success ...

    Josh could finally track down Bart McCready, who's now performing
    as the escape artist Bartolo. Following an inspiration he discovers
    that during his act, when the whole town is watching, two others
    raid the bank. Josh succeeds to get all three behind bars but - as
    the man he is - McCready manages to escape. So Josh once again has
    to find him ...

    Sam Pryor, the popular founder and mayor of the town, is murdered
    by a burglar. His daughter Angela now demands his hanging - and
    if the sheriff (both witnessed the murder) doesn't do it, she takes
    care of it. The sheriff wants Quint, the culprit, to have a fair
    trial and for that wants to escort him to the next city. Josh, who
    was after Quint, offers help since he fears they won't arrive alive
    there: and soon after they left, the sheriff's dead. Now Josh, who
    has personal interests in Quint because of the bounty, now wants to
    escort him. And Angela still wants Quint's head ...

    On his way, Josh finds a dismayed little Indian boy who tells him
    a story about a monstrous creature destroying his village. And,
    indeed, the Indian village is completely destroyed with two bodies
    left behind. In the next town, Josh learns that something is out
    there destroying camps and killing people. Not believing in monsters
    Josh wants to find out what's really behind this, not at least
    because there's a bounty out and the fact that gold is always missing
    makes it somehow suspicous.

    The sheriff of Virginia City, where Phillips is jailed, his deputy
    Jason and Josh prepare for a fight. They get four of Fennon's gunmen -
    the price is a dead sheriff and a seriously wounded Josh. But no
    signs of Fennon. Jason, now in charge, prepares himself to take on
    Fennon alone, already closing with his life. After a night waiting,
    still no signs of Fennon ...

    Josh gets arrested - for horse theft. Then he finds out it was Jason
    who wants him behind bars because Jason wants to go after Billy Joe
    Henry alone, to prove he can deal with a bounty hunter's business and
    he'd be worth to be Josh's partner. But Jason soon realizes that Billy
    Joe's is out of his league and turns to Josh again.

    Jason face the rope.

    Josh is hired by Amanda Cole to clear the name of her father Bayard,
    wrongly accused of murder. And the key is Buff Cole who plays his own
    game and - from the start - wants to get rid of Josh. For that job he
    hires Jason. Bayard assumes that his step-brother Clete - both
    of them own half of the ranch - is responsible for his unpleasant
    situation.

    On behalf of Al Hemp, Josh and Jason go to Mexico to find his
    brother Billy. Al Hemp took the blame for one of his brother's
    crimes but what should have been just temporarily ends with a
    runaway Billy. The people in the Mexican town (where they assume
    Billy hides) are no great help, it even seems they cover him.

    Josh goes after Sammy Wong, a Korean wanted for murder. Finding
    him is one thing, capturing another since Wong has a powerful

    broken ribs. Jason now steps in and follows Wong, who could escape.

064 [2.28-60] Vendetta / Der Rachefeldzug

    Josh captured Stokes, wanted by the Army, and delivers him at an
    Army Camp. There the commanding officer Capt. Phelps recruits
    Stokes for his fight against the Kiowa and throws Josh out without
    the money. At the next fort, Fort Carson, Josh learns that there's
    no state of war and Capt. Phelps made himself the CO and leads a
    private vendetta against the Kiowa because they killed his wife
    and kid. Lacking men in the fort, the CO there recruits Josh
    agsinst his will to help him against Phelps and a war-breakout
    with the Kiowa.

    Clint Davis, rich owner of the Davis ranch, is near death. His last
    wish would be to see his son William again and hand over his estate
    to him. Fifteen years earlier his son left after a fight and since
    then Cint hasn't heard anything from him. He hires Josh to find him.
    On his tour through the towns Josh meets Deputy Sheriff Fix who knows
    a man who could be William Davis. But Fix - who knows about the rich
    man Clint Davis - develops a plan: he kills William and a friend gives
    himself out as William Davis.
