A crew made up of a cat, a doctor, a police officer, a murderer, several pilots, and several colonists is on a long colonization journey through space. Though, during the course of the journey, the ship awakens them with problems. A metorite ran into the side of the ship, and in it was an alien being, unbeknownst to the crew. The crew decides to repair the damaged area, but soon after, people being to turn up missing. The cat winds up to be missing also.
Eventually the crew finds out that the reason for all the missing people is the presence of an alien, and one by one, the crew members are picked off. During an encounter with the cat, the remaining crew members find out that it is a robotic cat which has been controlling the ship the whole time. Not even the girl who owned the cat knew of it being a robot.
Over the course of this life and death adventure, the murderer and the girl who owned the cat fall in love and are the last remaining humans on board. They do all they can to destroy the alien and escape from the ship.
