Julia
Karin Ormond was born on the 4th
of January 1965 in Epsom, Surrey, just south of London, England. She
is 34, Capricorn.
FAMILY
Her dad,
a businessman & her mom, a laboratory technician,
divorced when she was a child. John was a millionaire
by the age of 30, and the family lived well until that
divorce caused Julia, her sister, & mother to move out
of the 20-room mansion. She was a charming
child belongs to Josephine and
John Ormond.
She has 3 younger brothers and an older
sister, i.e. She was the second eldest of the five.
SCHOOL
LIFE
She
attended " Cranleigh Public School", a mostly male private
school, and Julia herself admits to being a tomboy. She played field
hockey, acted in several school plays including a production of "Guys
and Dolls".

CRUSH
Julia's
first crush was her classmate named Roger
Beech.
AMBITION
Julia Ormond's
first ambition was to follow in her grandparents' footsteps
and become an abstract artist.But
after a year of Art school, she decided to pursue a career
in the Dramatic Arts instead, since acting
had peaked her interest while at Cranleigh.
GRADUATION
1998
She
majored in Acting and graduated from the
Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, in 1988.
FIRST
JOB
During her graduation study, she worked as a
waitress, and later at the Tie Rack store in
Heathrow Airport.
FIRST
CASTING
Julia's
first casting was in a T.V. AD for Cottage cheese. Then
followed a succession of British plays, & critics took
glee in blasting the nervous newcomer.
MARRIAGE
While
working on Catherine in Wuthering Heights, she met her future
husband, Rory Edwards.
In the TNT mini-series "Young Catherine"
her husband was also casted, as one of the
lesser Orlov brothers. Although Julia was the title character!
ANNULATION
1993
Julia's brief and fragile marriage dissolved when her husband
left her. She went on to stardom,
and Rory Edwards fell into even
deeper obscurity, his only notable role as a Paris vampire
in "Interview With
the Vampire".
NATURE
During
the filming of the movie "First Knight", the crew
referred to her as "Julia Who?" because
she was still unknown at the time.
One day
after shooting, she got on a public bus showing
that actors are just like normal people!
She also had
a brief ear infection that sent her to a London hospital, but
it was fortunate in a way because it allowed her time to audition
for Sabrina.
BEAUTIFUL

For movie
"Sabrina" she was demanded to cut her glorious
waist-length hair, which she did without any objection,
but it broke the hearts of most of her fans :)

PRODUCTION COMPANY
LA Times:
"She
has formed a production company called Indican (a play on "in
the can"), which has a deal with Fox Searchlight; through it she
aims to find scripts she can produce and direct and
others she can star in. She is now trying to line up distributors
for
"Calling the Ghosts," an Indican-produced
documentary about two women who survived the
horrors of Serbian prison
camps".
CURRENT
RESIDENCE
Julia
Ormond has recently moved
from the unfashionable Hackney, to the more 'IN' Covent Garden district
of London.
