| We made our yearly trip to the Meadowlands and it wasn't to see the Giants or the Jets play football. No way, instead we found ourselves at the Sheraton Inn directly across the highway from the Stadium for the Chiller Con. Once again, Kevin Clements deserves a great big thank you for putting together another great time for fans of horror films. This year the guests included Robert Vaughn, Karen Black, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, Ingrid Pitt, John Kerr, Russ Streiner, Bill Hinzman, John Russo, June Lockhart, Mark Goddard, Marta Kristen and many many others. After a little discussion with Bill Hinzman at this year's monster Bash, we discovered that he really likes Lebanon's Bologna. We took some along, as well as some pretzels from Shuey's, another treat indigenous to our area and presented our gift to Bill Hinzman and Russ Streiner on Friday Night. They were more than pleased. The Costume Party was another blast with lots of terrific costumes, great bands and a surprise appearance by Joey Ramone. All in all, Sunday morning found us a bit weary as we left for Home at noon to catch the Colts/Dallas game at 4:15 at the Downtown Lounge. What was a terrific weekend was capped off by a great football game with the Colts coming out on top. Things couldn't have been any better for us. |
