March '98 followed by the April Annual Show

The March meeting was one to finalise the Annual Show preparations.  Under the shade shelter at Brian and Judy Fischle's, in ongoing dry, dry, dry.....and hot conditions, just a few good flowers were benched.  The Goomeri members brought Sharon Lord as a visitor to tell us all about the Pumpkin Show in May and we all had a good yarn besides getting some planning done.

If only!!!  Just for a moment, Silver Ghost had it all but a seedling can't be Grand Champion.  Champion Seedling and Most Spectacular was all that was left.  Wow!!  Greg & Julie Lindsay raised this from an Oyster Pearl x Stormy Days seed bred by Noel Hedges. Julie was pleased with its performance. The real Grand Champion Fascinatin' Rhythm with exhibitors, Norm and Joy Hatton.  Champion Double  and Grand Champion trophies are displayed here.
