Carnforth "East Junction" Signal Box

First Signalbox

Carnforth East Junction signalbox was originally opened on the 2nd August 1880, with the opening of the East Curve, in to the "new" Carnforth station.The signalbox had 24 levers.

Second Signalbox

Carnforth East Junction signalbox was opened 19 th January 1902 replacing the earlier signalbox.
The signalbox was positioned at the junction of the F+M and the east curve lines, and was in the "V" between the two lines.

Carnforth East Junction signalbox was closed on 7th November 1998
