West Wight Potter E-mail Discussions

For a number of years now, Potter enthusiasts from around the world have banded together to form the "West Wight Web". The WWWeb is our way of referring to an internet-based "mail list" that relays all incoming e-mail to Web members.

Here is how it works: say you want to ask other Potter owners how to rig a jiffy reefing system on your boat. You mail a message asking for advice and address it to the WWPotter mail list. Your message is received at this address and then forwarded to all the Web members. Everyone on the Web receives each question and each answer. The combined knowledge and experience of the members is wide and varied. We have discussions on all aspects of small boat sailing and improvements to the Potter that make sailing it and similar pocket cruisers easier and more enjoyable.

There are nearly 250 Potter enthusiasts participating on the WWWeb. Since we started in December, 1994, the number of messages has increased each month. There are, on average, 300 messages each month discussing different aspects of the West Wight Potter and pocket cruiser sailing. Anyone with Internet access is invited to join us in this enjoyable enterprise.

We're making sailing friends all across the nation. Come join us.
