Dhabi
(the island of dears)
got the name because of the dears that once were
there
I´ve been so lucky to have been able to spend
five years of my childhood in Abu Dhabi, from 1980 - 1985. My first English
words were " Can I have a Coke please ". I have spent five years there
because of my dads job. Dad, Nordal Magne,worked then for BJ Hughes as
a district manager for Abu Dhabi. In abu Dhabi I went to an international
school called AL Khubairat Community School, the lessons were in English
and Arabian.
Some weekends we took a trip to Dubai,
the highlite on that long trip was to count camels, road signs and last
but not least Dubai World Trade Center.
Abu Dhabi has been through a tramendes devolpment since 1960 og up
to day, below you´ll find links to my personal experiance and also
