Sailed from Utrecht, Holland on the ship "The Beaver" April 25th, 1659.1
(Some sources suggest he came on the ship "Faith" from Amsterdam, arriving March 1660.)
In 1666 granted a lot at Salt Meadows at Canarisia, part of the Flatlands across Jamaica Bay from Rockaway, NY. Member (with his wife) of the Dutch Church of New Amsterdam.2
Lived near Midwout (Flatbush) Long Island until 1683, sold a house and lot in Flatbush to Jan Auke van Nuys2 and then moved to Philipse Manor in Tarrytown. He and his wife are the sixth and seventh charter members of the Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow when it was founded in 1697. He served as Elder in Philipsburgh Church 1699-1701.3
