This census record gives the age of Anderson as 7 months. To be 7 months old would mean that he was born between 12 November 1859 and 11 December 1859. This agrees with the death certificate which gives his birth date as November 19, 1859.

He appeared on the census in May 1910 in Talladega County, Alabama. Precinct 12 of Talladega County, Alabama residence # 430, family # 437 shows Anderson P. Fields (50), Louvenia (35), Lilly (10), Johnson (8), and Barney (6). Anderon's father was born in North Carolina and his mother was born in Georgia, both of Louvenia's parents were born in Georgia. It also showed Louvenia as the mother of 5 children with 5 still alive. He appeared on the census on 30 Jun 1920 in Talladega County, Alabama. Precinct 12 (Childersburg) residence # 241, family # 247 shows A. P. Fields (61), Louvenia (40), Johnson (18), Barney (17), Lily (21), Felton (10), Floyd (8), and Teddy (4). The birthplaces on this record were wrong. He died on 5 Feb 1942 in Childersburg, Talladega County, Alabama. The death certificate was filled out Jan 5, 1942 by Felton Fields, son of Anderson Fields. It stated that Anderson Pink Fields was born November 19, 1859 in Georgia. He was buried on 6 Feb 1942 in Childersburg, Talladega County, Alabama. He was known as Pink. There were several men in the Fields family in Georgia known as "Pink" and all of them had the name Pinkney. It is believed that Anderson Pink Fields was also named Pinkney.

On the census taken 11 July 1860 he is listed as 7 months old. This would place his date of birth between 12 November and 11 December, 1859. His death certificate gives his date of birth as November 19, 1859. Parents: Morgan FIELDS and Parthenia Frances TAYLOR.

He was married to Arey M. SAMPLES on 3 Apr 1881 in Forsyth County, Georgia.⁽⁵⁹⁶⁵⁾ The marriage record in Forsyth County, Georgia gives the names Andrew P. Fields & Arey M. Fields. Sometimes men named Anderson have been known to use the name Andrew. This may or may not actually be our Anderson but no other Andrew Fields has been found in Gwinnett County, Georgia in that time period. [Fields2.FTW]

It is not certain that the Andrew P. Fields of Gwinnett County, Georgia who married Arey M. Samples of Forsyth County, Georgia was actually Anderson P. Fields. No other Andrew Fields has been found at this time and Anderson would have been 21 years old and ready to marry.

If this was Anderson it brings up certain questions. 1) What happened to Arey Samples/Fields? 2) Were there any children from the marriage and if so, what happened to those children?

If this was not Anderson Fields we have other questions. 1) Did Anderson wait until he was 40 years old to marry and why would he wait so long? 2) Did he marry someone else for which there is no record and why is there no record?

He was married to Louvenia Emeline SAMPLES between 1896 and 1900 in Alabama or Georgia. No marriage record has been found for Anderson and Louvenia at this time. Anderson was from Gwinnett County and Louvenia was from Forsyth County. Neither has a record of a marriage for this pair. It has been said by family members that Anderson and Louvenia came to Alabama from Rome, Georgia. Rome is in Floyd County, Georgia which is located in North East Georgia. There are several Fields families in counties surrounding Floyd County such as Cherokee and Pickens County. Louvenia's family was living in Bartow County by 1900. It is possible that a marriage record exists in one of those counties. Children were: Lillie Eddis FIELDS, Johnson FIELDS, Barney FIELDS, Felton FIELDS, Floyd FIELDS, Delton FIELDS, Ted FIELDS.
