Hello! I'm Charlie and I have created these pages to tell you a little bit about myself, my family, and the things I like best.
First of all, I am a happily retired UPS (United Parcel Service) driver. I went to work there after serving in the army for a little over three years; that was back in 1967, and I was only 22 years old at the time. On retrospect, time seems to have flown by; before I knew it I was 55 years old and wanting to do something different. My life at UPS was very regimented, with little time for anything but work and sleep; so after 31 years I decided to call it quits, take my pension and move on with my life. It was the best decision I ever made; what a feeling of freedom. Each day is new and different; I have a choice of when to get up, and what I will decide to do on that particular day (hence the music you here playing,"Free as a Bird").
My immediate family is rather small; just me, my wife Nancy and our two cats;Angel and Missy. We have a daughter,Cindy, who is 27 years old with a family of her own. See "Cindy's Page".
When you start thinking about retirement you had better be sure you have plenty of things to occupy your time; as in my case, I gained 14 hours a day that I never had before, but I had plenty of hobbies to keep me busy. In fact that is when I got into computers; two years ago I thought computers were worthless; the scourge of mankind. It was something that I had never done before, and look at me now, typing out web pages. It's never to late to learn!
