During January temperatures hovered in the minus 20's (Celsius). Fortunately, it was a pretty mild Winter, with the lowest temperature only getting down to minus 30.  With layers of clothing, central heating in the home, school and shopping malls and heating block on the car engine, the cold didn't worry us all that much.

Just to prove that we did ski, we took these photos after we had cross-country skied at Jasper Park Lodge in February.  We tried downhill skiing but had big problems coming to terms with the word 'downhill'.

Great fun, but we ended up with frozen feet.
