The SearchSpaniel Site

The main function of my own site, SearchSpaniel, is as a meta-search engine, searching over 200 search engines. I built the meta-search part of this site in November 1997, later adding free intranet/internet software and the Golden Spaniel Awards. The site currently receives over 100,000 hits per month. The site is a marriage of HTML, JavaScript, Java and Perl CGI scripts.

SearchSpaniel is listed in Microsoft's Hand-Picked Best Of The Web.

The Spaniel News Server

Written completely in Java, the Spaniel News Server is distributed as freeware from the SearchSpaniel site. The site also distributes other Java internet/intranet software I have written. The news server is currently being used by a number of sites around the web, but mainly on intranets (for which purpose it was written). DEVELOPER.COM classified the news server as "cool".

Window Help Files

I have experience of Windows Help file creation, both using Wextech's Doc-To-Help tool and creating the necessary RTF file manually (which I prefer). The example file below was created manually.

Note: This file was created back in 1995 for Tharstern's customers' who, at that time, used a screen resolution of 640 x 480. The graphics were created using Windows Paint.
