Southland
PARAFED SOUTHLAND is a sporting and recreational association for people with
physical disabilities. Our members include people with paraplegia, tetraplegia,
amputees, people with spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular dystrophy,
arthritis and many other physical disabilities.
The main aim of the association is rehabilitation through sport and recreation.
The Southland Association runs regional sports at least once a year with track
and field events, swimming, basketball, bowls and boccia. Other events such as
Wheelchair Basketball, slalom and darts are also held.
