Fishing in Upstate NY
I am Eric Griffin and
an avid fisherman in Upstate New York. The bass may not get huge
around here like in the south, but there are plenty of them to go around!
I guess the local pike and walleye fishing makes up for the lack of big
bass, because they get pretty big around here! Fishing slows down in the
fall until ice fishing season comes around, then the local fisherman hit
the ice. I hope this page will provide you with plenty of fishing
info for your needs, whether you live in the south or the north!
My Fishing Experience (Or lack
there of!)
I have been in two fishing tournaments, one was an ice fishing tourney,
and the other was a kids fishing tourney. The above picture was my
biggest fish in the kids tournament. I don't think any fish were
weighed in in my age division, so if I'd of weighed this in I would've
won!
These two pictures are of me ice fishing on Saratoga Lake for the first
time. In the picture on the right, that is my friend, Ryan Talbot
in the distance. He is the pro among my friends.
This is the last of my pictures for now. This is me (on the far
left) my sister (front) Ben Durie (back, center) and his brother Andy (far
right) It looks like I am untangling someone's line, like usual!
