*Thunder opened with a look at the problems between Roddy Piper and Ric Flair. They also replayed highlights of the Sting-Goldberg-Big Sexy-DDP World Title match from Nitro.
*Thunder presented a video homage to Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page. The two will fight for the belt in Slamboree's main event. (Promo spot for the DDP v. Nash match at Slamboree: 515K QuickTime movie)
*Thunder looked at the mental breakdown of Ric Flair.
*Raven and Perry Saturn defeated Scotty Riggs and Mike Enos* Mirror, mirror on the wall, did you see Riggs take a fall? Despite Saturn's shoulder injury (courtesy of the Horsemen), the Freaks of the Week still displayed excellent tag work and double team maneuvers. Enos and Riggs did manage to isolate and work over Raven, but an errant chair shot turned the momentum once again. The former Flock leader got two near-falls, but it was Saturn that scored the win with his DVD finisher -- Riggs was distracted by his hand mirror.
*Thunder took a look at the Hot Rod, Roddy Piper.
*Nitro Flashback: Diamond Dallas Page fights Sting for the World Title.
*Rick Steiner defeated Eric Watts*
From suplexes to steel rail shots, the Dog-Faced Gremlin seemed to enjoy the carnage -- while his opponent begged for mercy. Warming up for his TV Title match, Steiner pummeled Watts with his trademark Steinerdog, and then forced the submission.
*Nitro Flashback: With the help of Randy Savage, DDP defeats Nash in a four-corner Title Match.
*Nitro Flashback: Ric Flair pits Sting and Goldberg against each other.
*Thunder took a look at the upcoming match between Gorgeous George and "Little Natch" Charles Robinson.
*Horace and Brian Adams with nWo black-and-white defeated Disorderly Conduct* Although Team nWo proved superior in this match, Mean Mike and Tuff Tom displayed several inspired bouts of offense and even managed to disorient Adams. But with the help of Scott Norton, Stevie Ray and Vince, Adams and Horace never seemed in real danger. The black-and-white won after a piledriver spike.
*Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Kanyon* Pre-match, Kanyon spoke about his experience with the Jesse Ventura movie. Mysterio started strong, but Kanyon's innovative offense and size advantage helped him regain control. The Cruiserweight Champ absorbed over a dozen high-impact moves but several missed top-rope maneuvers cost the heavyweight momentum. Near the end of the match, the Horsemen arrived, but Rey disposed of his Slamboree opponents and still connected with his Mysterio-rana roll-up for the pin. Post-match, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko tried to crush Mysterio's knee with the ring steps. Rey was helped to the dressing room. No word on his knee was available at press time.
*Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko defeated The Texas Hangmen* The Horsemen walked out arrogantly, basking in the glory of their Mysterio attack. The Hangmen attempted to take advantage of the distraction but couldn't rattle the former tag team champions. Injuring and insulting their opponents, Malenko and Benoit focused on the knees of the Hangmen. The Icemen scored the win with the Texas Cloverleaf.
*Nitro Flashback: Ric Flair confronts Randy Savage, Madusa, Miss Madness and Gorgeous George; Page cheats to beat Flair in the main event match.
