Paul and Beyond

Paul joined Beyond in 1985, but his ties to the group came much before then. He handled much of Beyond's graphic artwork for posters before joining the group. In fact, he had used his skills to help them design Beyond's first album, "Goodbye Ideals". But it was his amazing skills on the guitar which lead him to join the band. An interesting fact to note is that when Paul joined, he had to learn 14 songs in one month because they had already planned for a concert; which shows his dedication towards the group. After many years, Paul jokingly said, "Maybe they wanted me because they wanted free artwork!"

After many years of playing with Beyond, Paul has become an acomplished singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is a wizard with his guitar and his solo's are outstanding. Watching him play live is a genuine event within itself. He has defineately carved his own nitch in HK music history.

Currently Paul is the driving force of the band. He has taken a lot of responsiblity in writing much of the music. With his rusty vocals, his pure musical talent in song writting, and guitar skills that boggle the mind, Paul is what makes Beyond; Beyond.
