Saturday, February 26th - Kuli‘ou‘ou Ridge
From Honolulu, travel toward Hawai‘i Kai on Kalaniana‘ole Highway, pass Niu Valley Shopping Center, turn left on ‘Elelupe Road. Turn left
on Kuli‘ou‘ou Road, you will pass a neighborhood
park, turn right on Kala‘au Place and park your
car. The trailhead is at the end of Kala‘au
Place. This trail has 10 switchbacks before
reaching the Norfolk Island pines and ironwoods
atop the ridge. Though somewhat hilly, the trail
is well-suited for all hikers and dogs alike.
The hike should take approximately 2 hours.
(For those approaching from the Waimanalo
direction, turn right on Kuli‘ou‘ou Road form Kalaniana‘ole Highway.)
Saturday, March 25 - Papali-Ma‘akua Ridge
Take Kamehamehai Highway to Hau‘ula Beach Park.
Park on the mauka side of the highway, just past
the 7-Eleven parking lot. We'll walk through
some Norfolk Island pines on this nice padded
trail. The hike is approximately 2 1/2 hours
long. Please bring plenty of water!!!
Saturday, April 29th - Judd-Nu‘uanu Trail
From Honolulu, take the Pali Highway heading
in the Kailua direction. Bear right at Nu‘uanu
Pali Drive, the last light (aka, the Waokanaka
Street intersection) just before you go "over
the Pali" (i.e. leave the residential area as
the road becomes a divided highway). Stay to the
right on Nu‘uanu Pali Drive (do not take Old Pali Road) . Pass Polihiwa
Place (on your left) to a
small bridge marked 1931 spanning the reservoir spillway. Park along side the road. The trail
entrance is just before the bridge. There is
plenty of shade on this trail. The hike is
approximately 2 hours long.
For all of the hikes, we'll gather around
8:45 a.m. and start the hike at 9:00 a.m.

you and your dog as well as materials for
picking up after your pet. If you have
