THE TRIBE OF THE RAINBOW BOAR

In my time studying the peoples and races of our
realms, and of those places reached by arcane works
or acts of magictitude, I have repeatedly heard of a
tribe of travellers and nomads. Their name is spoken
of in many different tongues, and early on in my
studies I presumed that they were a displaced
legendary tribe. A sort of universal myth like the
bogey man under ones bed or the lady of the lake.

For years I only heard of the existence of the tribe
through the telling of fireside tales. Never to find
artefacts, written material or even meet one of these
legendary people.

After several years two fragments
of slate came into my possession. The slates were
inscribed with text that confirmed the stories that I
had previously recorded and after much alchemical
and magical analysis I have confirmed that they are
genuinely part of the tribes ancient lore. The slates
were written before a time known as 'The Un-writing'.
During this transitional period all written records and
texts pertaining to the tribe were systematically
destroyed, an act of barbarism that makes the job of
the historian and sage, nigh on impossible.
Thankfully I am a persistent scholar and I have
collected much information relating to the tribes
history, philosophy and politics. As a tribal people they
still exist and even today they desist from writing their
own lore's or laws; all matters of conduct and importance
are passed on orally and it is left to the learned to be
the recorders of this fascinating dialog.
