About Us...

Hello, and welcome to Acme Simulations. We are a sim (simulation) group that plays sims on IRC. Sims are really adventure games. In these games you can do anything you can imagine... anything at all. If you don't have the slightest clue about simming, it doesn't matter! We have a .txt of our first sim, Nuclear War, that contains the following: What is a sim? How do you play sims? What can I do in sims? What are the rules of sims?

Basically, you'll only the following: IRC (chat program) which can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of our page, or go to http://www.mirc.co.uk, an E-mail account, and not to be a quitter.

How to get started (or how to get your feet wet)
|
First, download IRC from the link at the bottom of our page or download it from www.mirc.co.uk . On November 30th, 1998, at 7:00PM eastern time, there will be our first official Acme Simulations meeting. It will be on any Undernet server. When you are on Undernet, go to channel #Acme_sims . There, if you want to be a member, you will tell us your: E-mail address (so we can e-mail you the .txt file), a login-id you want, and a password you want. This info will be transferred by DCC chat, an option in IRC that lets 2 computers communicate with full security. When you are there, you will be told when our first game will be held. The games name is "Nuclear War". Incase you don't know anything at all about playing sims, all the info you need is in the .txt, that will be given to you #Acme_sims .
