    Nonweapon Proficiencies: Appraising; direction sense; gem cutting, juggling; modern languages (Common, Dwarven, Drow Silent); leather working; reading/writing (Gnomish & Common); tumbling.

  • High Level Abilities: Evasion, shadow flight, shadow travel (See Player's Option: High Level Campaigns).

    Equipment: Standard adventuring gear; plus a money belt in which he keeps a deluxe set of thieves' picks; 5 sheets of tar paper; a silver garotte--entwined with his magical garotte--both hidden in his belt; many small miscellaneous items, like snares and tripwires.

    Magical Items: Elrond's blur boots, Elrond's superior bone ring, a short sword of speed +2, a short sword of speed +3, named Flicker, twin silver daggers of hurling +3, black leather armor +3, a deep black ioun stone (30' darkness vision) inside his flight goggles (taken from Japan; see Baba Yaga's Dancing Hut adventure), two wands of wonder (35 & 24 charges), a steel garrote +5, a gold ear ring of protection +3, a ring of feather falling, an amulet of misdirection, a ring of fire resistance, and a cloak of the bat.

    Combat/Tactics: Fighting two-weapon style, Elrond is a terror to fight. With his two swords of speed, Elrond is nearly as quick to Drizzt Do'Urden. When using a medium weapon he fights using two-hander style. Usually attacking from the dark, Elrond uses his twin daggers to weaken and surprise his opponents.

    Allies/Companions: His bestest friend in the Realms, or any Realm for that matter: Rolt; Lord-Prince Piper and his Golden EnclaveKylan Bloodbringer; Talina "Pheonix" Faynevon; Arkon Zutat; Arik Tenderfoot; Draven Lahar; Tannus Blade and his family; Necro Sa'naxith.

    Foes/Enemies: Most evil organizations hate him, but most do not believe he is the "great thief" that can cause or redeem the woes of the dealings of the Realms. If they only knew for sure it was him, Elrond would have a veritable army chasing him around for past transgressions, almost all from his time with the goodly people from the Realms and his friends.

    Appearance: Elrond is a 3' 6" rock gnome, with white hair that is chaoticly styled to say the least. His green eyes are forever scanning the locations he's at and he is almost always looking for more stuff to steal. He dresses in dark clothing (mostly black).

    Personality: Elrond is unpredictable and very brave, single-handedly fighting and destroying nine demons from the Abyss. He is always quick to volunteer for any chore, then tries to avoid it if there is too much work involved. He tries to pick fights with everyone, but only if he has his friends there to help him. He presents himself as a gem-cutter most often, when in fact he's the best thief in the entire realms.

    Locales Frequented: All of the wide ranges of the Sword Coast, the North, the Dalelands, Cormanthyr, the Western Heartlands, the Wood of Sharp Teeth, and the borderlands of Tethyr.

    Motivations/Goals: Elrond wishes to be recognized as the best thief in all of the Realms. However, he also wishes to remain anonymous and keep everyone guessing on what and who he truly is.

    Campaign Uses: Being the best there isn't much Elrond is not good at, a fleet-footed warrior, the world renowned, yet unkown professional thief, and a mystical little companion with a knack for never being truly dead.
