Soon after the Walker of the Storm fell before Miszhná, the creatures who acquired her essence, mostly humans, found themselves as supreme beings in the land, filled with knowledge and strange powers.

All the humans who recieved the essence of the Lady of Order became the ascans, or people of Ascan, and took possession of all the southern part of Raokrá, their empire grew larger with each passing day.

But they were not the only ones with such power, for there were some elves and dwarfs in the battlefield as well, those elves became the Eyes of Corellion, and conquered the wild lands of Astar, while the dwarfs retreated to the mountains, their whereabouts shrouded in mystery.

The story of the Ascans is indeed a vital part of Raokrá, for it was them that dominated most of the world, both with armies and culture, for more than 4,000 years. Their history is filled with battles and wars, great wizards and warriors, powerful magic and artifacts, leading to their downfall at the peak of their power, in the following pages, I've tried to create a short but comprehensive guide to understanding the Ascan civilization.

All of the stories and information contained here is either knowledge obtained from ruins (interpretations are not always accurate) or supposicions based on such knowledge. Most of ascan knowledge was forever lost with the sinking of Karnar at the end of the golden era, a period in which the power of the ascans grew inmensely, it is even said that, if given more time, the ascans could have defeated the ancient ones themselves.
