Hey, I'm a skater, so I should like sakting, right? Anyways, there are alot of websites out there, but not many of them talk about skating, which is exactly whata I'm here to talk about. There have been alot of changes made since skating first came out, especially in styles. When skating first came out, there weren't styles, just plain old skating. Now I know that period as the Oldskool age. Oldskool had tricks like the Christie, the Spinner, and the Darkseid. It was often called " America's fastest growning sport" before the mid-80's. Skating died out soon. The skateparks shut down, the popping up everywhere, and those who loved the sport took it underground and swore that it would come back up someday. In 1990, skating was reborn. Oldskool was replaced by Newskool with tricks like the Ollie, the Kickflip, and the Shove-it. Skating has never been as popular, and probably hasn't even reached it's peek yet. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

I want to talk about the best skatepark that I've ever seen. If you ever visit Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, look the place up in the phonebook. The name of this skatepark is Board's and Blade's. The prices are excellent, and so are the ramps. Non-member Admission- $10.00 Membership- $9.00 Member Admission- $6.00 Decks(all decks come with 1 free day to sk8 and free griptape): Blank Decks- $35.00 Decks with graphics- $52.00 Decks with all hardware- $85.00 with 2 free days to sk8 Trucks(for 1): Regular Trucks- $16.00 Colored Trucks- $30.00 Wheels: Blanks- $24.00 for 4 Wheels with graphics- $30.00 for 4 Bearings: ABEC 3 non-water-proof- $1.25 each ABEC 5 water-proof- $1.50 each They have some of the best ramps there with the awesome workers.
