The 355 is the successor to the 348 but it's
only a coincidence that it looks like it. It's new from the
inside out and makes use of numerous improvements to make it one
sharp-handling sport car. A smooth underpan gives downforce
without the need for big spoilers. The engine has five valves per
cylinder, Nikasil coated bores, and titanium connecting rods. The
fruits of these F1 tricks are 375 hp @ 8250 rpm out of only 3.5
liters. The car comes also comes in a spider version, which is
250 lb heavier than the Berlinetta.
